Julie Conrady has a special way of being in the world that combines deep compassion, a strong sense of social justice, and joyful laughter. She understands people in the full range of their feelings and needs, and is not afraid to challenge a congregation to do more. She is an inspiration.

Julie was there for my family and me during the toughest time of our lives. She was supportive in a way I had not experienced from a minister before, and she was able to provide us with comfort and peace through the pastoral care she gave us.

The Rev. Julie Conrady would be an excellent choice for any church. She is compassionate, a great listener, fantastic at sermons, religious education, and all aspects of ministerial service.

During the last 18 months I have participated in two very different 6 week workshops conducted by Julie - 'Facing Death with Life' and 'Exploring the Bible'. Julie is always well prepared and knowledgeable. She is clearly very comfortable in small group settings and, in turn, puts everyone at ease. She clearly values the input of all participants and, as a result, all members of both groups contributed. I came away with new knowledge about both topics but, perhaps more importantly, I also felt that I made new bonds with other group members and gained some helpful personal insights.

When Julie preaches I always feel engaged. Her sermons are varied but always thought provoking. I like the way in which she draws on a variety of faith traditions including but not exclusively Christianity. She achieves a balance of head and heart which speaks to me. I will miss her greatly when she moves on to another church.

Every time Julie preaches, I want to increase my pledge.

Julie Conrady would be a wonderful minister for any church.  We were so fortunate to have her minister to us during a very trying time, which involved personnel, moral and political crises.  Julie projects a caring and strong presence.  She helped me and others weather the difficulties we faced.  I have experienced Julie as intelligent, grounded, genuine, open to discussion, and well-spoken.

I can speak of Julie's pastoral and educational skills.  To me these are of the highest order.  She is a gifted community leader.  As a 30+ year member of First Unitarian, I would welcome Julie into our pulpit for each Sunday service.  I respect her intellectual capacities and the richness which she brings from her life experience to our services.

Of  this I am convinced:  Anyone meeting Julie Conrady will quickly see that Julie is uniquely blessed with an abundance of talent to fill the role of minister.

When our church lost two ministers in a short period, Julie stepped into the pulpit to help us heal. She was able to connect with us and say what we needed to hear. One comment repeated by several members was that "she hit it out of the park." Julie has been invaluable to our church in her ability to provide pastoral care. I personally have never met a minister with more capacity for compassion and understanding. She has been a gift to us all.

The first time Julie preached the sermon when she was helping out after our minister left, I told her she would be a great minister.  She has a wonderful ability to connect with people of all ages and uses many things/events in our world to do so.  She is a very good story teller and her sermons don't get boring because they are so relate-able.  She is able to find and convey spirituality in the everyday of our lives.

I have experienced first hand Julie's ability to comfort in a crisis.  Her calm support is invaluable.
